CARE

HOPE FOR TOMORROW

Welcome to our Care Ministries page, where we provide support and care for individuals in various aspects of their lives. Our dedicated teams are here to walk alongside you during times of joy, challenge, and sorrow.

PARISH NURSES

Parish nurses are registered nurses who volunteer their expertise to address health issues and needs in local congregations. They aim to foster physical, emotional, spiritual, and social harmony, promoting health, healing, and wholeness.

Their responsibilities include monthly blood pressure checks, on-call services, monitoring medication interactions, scheduling blood drives, on-site events, home visits, and maintaining first aid kits. They also network with local hospitals and service providers and maintain continuing education and certification.

If you are a registered nurse (active or retired) and would like to be involved in the healing and wholeness ministries of our church, please contact Druann Briggs at dazey1@tampabay.rr.com.

STEPHEN MINISTRY

Stephen Ministry is a confidential, one-to-one caring ministry. Our trained ministers provide a listening ear and compassionate support to those facing life’s challenges, such as grief, illness, or major life changes.

Stephen ministers are trained lay Christians to provide effective Christian care to congregations and community members. After 50 hours of training, they meet weekly with a care receiver, meet twice monthly for supervision and continuing education, and commit for two years.

If you are in need of private counseling, contact Dave Hill or Roz Hill at dhill1944@tampabay.rr.com or rozzie1944@gmail.com.

Each group offers its own gathering schedule and structure based on national and international group models. Initial contact is usually made by speaking directly to the group leader or through email or phone contacts listed.
