WALK TO EMMAUS
The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program designed to strengthen local churches by developing Christian disciples and leaders. It begins with a 72-hour course in Christianity, featuring fifteen talks by lay and clergy on God’s grace, discipleship disciplines, and church life. The program is accompanied by prayer, meditation, worship, and Holy Communion.
The Emmaus community supports the course with prayer vigils, meal preparation, and self-giving. The three-day course moves church members to new levels of openness and commitment as Disciples of Christ, allowing them to re-experience God’s love and rededicate their lives to serving others.
